Wow. J. Oliver Glasgow has created a pretty twisted, dark and disturbing world here. At least... I probably would have been disturbed if I wasn't laughing so hard. A remarkable effort from this new talent! Thanks Connie, for the recommendation! I'll be watching for more great things to come from this writer.
J. Oliver Glasgow's not without a vivid imagination. What starts out as a "coming-of-age" story about a boy named Guy turns into a wild tale packed with adventure when an alien literally drops into his lap. After the shock wears off, Guy uses the alien to promote his dream of becoming a top chef. All goes exceedingly well until the remains of the alien are gone. What follows is a gripping story that makes the reader laugh and gasp at the same time. If you like stories with a different twist, buy this book. You won't be disappointed.
